AS/400
IBM's original 1988 midrange business computer platform; the term is still used informally to refer to IBM i systems and shops even though IBM has rebranded the hardware and OS multiple times since.
AS/400 was IBM's 1988 midrange server line. The hardware lineage moved through iSeries and System i to current IBM Power systems running IBM i. In an AI infrastructure discussion, 'AS/400 AI' is too broad to specify a supported configuration: identify the actual Power generation and machine type, operating-system partitions, available cores and memory, data connection, and whether a model runs locally or through an external service.
