Db2 for i is IBM i's native relational database, integrated with the operating system rather than installed as a separate database product. For a Power AI infrastructure plan, Db2 for i is usually the production data source, not proof that the model runs in the IBM i partition. Measure the secure connection, data-transfer volume, latency, and recovery boundary between that data source and the supported inference runtime.
